Pony Rides make for a full day!

Princess getting her helmet on. I am not sure if she was more excited to ride or wear a helmet.

Princess on King Arthur. He was a wonderful pony.

From the conversations on the way home I have to say that she liked it.

Pumpkin Patch Part 2

Princess running in the feild of pumpkins.

Posing on a pumpkin

Frogee and his pumpkin. He is sitting now all by himself!

After the pumpkin patch we drove a little farther up the road to ride a pony for the first time. Even though it was nap time I could not miss out on this opportunity.

Pumpkin Patch

Today was a MOPS on the Move event. We went and visited a local pumpkin patch just up the road from Beaufort. It was a wonderful morning. Princess enjoyed feeding the animals and just running around in general. She picked up a pumpkin that we are going to decorate this coming weekend. Pictures will follow!

Bella feeding the "puppy". When I asked her what it was she said a puppy then quickly corrected it that it was a horse. It was cute either way.

She feed a rabbit.

She feed some goats.

Why so absent?

Its been too long since our last post. So much has happened during that time frame. My parents were out to visit and we went to Orlando with them. What a wonderful trip and time spent with GeeGee and Gamps. We spent the time at a wonderful resort and we also went to SeaWorld. We really just kind hung out but it was a wonderful Mom-cation. My parents have been such a wonderful support all of my life and continue to be with my children. I am truly blessed.

We have been a little stressed over the course of the last 2 months after we attended Paul's well baby visit and the alarm was sounded that he is in the 2nd percentile for height and weight. (The Dr was not our normal Dr) They told me to start pushing solids and just stuff the poor boy. That would have been all fine and dandy if he was ready for it. We had an appointment 2 weeks later. The growth was not what they wanted to see. So we were scheduled to come back in another 2 weeks. Well that was a Monday and then that following Sunday he caught a nasty stomach empting bug that percisted all day Sunday and continued into Monday. We called and got an appointment at his normal peditrician. Since they were so concerned with his weight and possible onset of dehydration they wanted to admit him but the only place that can run the tests was either Savannah or Charleston. Each one is about an hour and a half from the house. We knew we would be there at least over night so I called a friend to take Bella. She is actually my lifesaver as I am very particular about who watches my babies. I was completly comfortable with her watching her my only problem is I missed her too much. We arrived at MUSC Childrens Hospital in Charleston about 2 in the afternoon. We then spent the next 4 days there having test run which have all returned normal or negative. He was diagnosied as Failure to Thrive. What does that mean? Well to my baby it just means that he fell off the growth chart. They have no reasons to explain the fall but he has been gaining weight just not fast enough to maintain his position on the chart. He is hitting all of his milestones developmentally speaking but is just small. We have had 2 appointments in the last 2 weeks since being home with each one not returning the weight gain they want to see. He is eating solids now like a champ but will not take a bottle or sippy cup with the fortified formula. We are still trying but he only wants mommy. We are on a two weeks until our next appointment and they want to see a gain of 10 oz. We are hoping to make it at least close to that. If not we may be back up to MUSC. I will try and keep everybody more up to date.

Cooking continued...

Here is what Bubby was doing while we were cooking.

Here is Princess with the finished project. She iced it and we put candles on it. We sang our ABC's then blew them out. She was so excited. She is getting to be such a big girl. She amazes me everyday.

She loves to cook!

Princess is becoming a wonderful cook. It all started with Grandee teaching her how to crack an egg and now we can't get her out of the kithcen. On this particular day she helped me make a cake. It wasn't for anything special but she sure did enjoy it.

Here she is licking a beater.

Holding the cake before it went into the oven.

Enjoying a nice glass of milk while we waited for the cake to be done.

I have been so bad at not posting since Paul has arrived. Adjusting to being the mother of two has been a challenge. We are just now getting the hang of things. My mom was a blessing the first month of Paul's life by helping me with everything and anything. When she left all things were then on me again. I would like to say that I have handled it all in stride. But if we could have GeeGee back we would take her in a heartbeat.

Paul is growing so much and developing more each day. He is my little man and I love him so. My Princess Bella is such a wonderful Big Sister. We have been enjoying time in our pool since it has been so nice out. (Pictures will be coming)

We are all getting ready to head home for a much needed vacation. This will be the first time that Marcus has been home since October 2007. He is very excited to be going. We will be attending two wedding while we are home. His little brother Aaron is getting married to a wonderful woman. We could not be happier to be welcoming Kim into the family. Bella is going to be the flower girl in a precious dress that my mom made. We are currently going through a dress phase so she will be extra excited to get to wear such a fluffy dress. We will also be attending the wedding of my cousin. We will also be spending quality time with both sides of our family.

We will be reunited with our first baby, Maisy. She went home with my parents so that we would not have the worry of getting home with her and two babies. We sure miss her and Bella is always asking were Sissy is. She will be extra excited. This is enough of an update for now. I will post more pictures and hopefully be more regular in posting.

Our newest addition!

7 days and counting

In just 7 short days our family of 3 will become a family of 4. I cannot believe that we are embarking on this milestone. It feels like just yesterday we found out we were expecting. My mom arrives on Wednesday and Friday at 6 am we head to the hospital to welcome Baby Paul. We have had a fun week opening presents that started with a surprise Baby Shower hosted by my Husbands Family Readiness Group. It was a wonderful surprise and we got some really cute cloths for the little man. We also received the all important double stroller in the mail last night. Bella had to try out both seats and I think would of stayed in them if it wasn't for bedtime. I guess this weekend will find me cleaning a little and trying to get as much sleep as possible in anticipation for what is to come next week. Hopefully we will be welcoming a little girl sometime in the near future form my "Beaufort Soul mate"!

What a wonderful life!

To catch up:
Tuesday - Bella and I attended MOPS which is always a good time. I have meet some really wonderful people through MOPS both here and back in Jacksonville. It give Bella some time to be with other kids and me some much needed adult interaction.

Wednesday - I took Bella to day care for the first time. I think I was more unsure about all of it then she was. This is not an everyday thing just on occasion as I had Day 1 of L.I.N.K.S Mentor training. Taking this class will allow me to help mentor to other spouses all about the Marine Corps. It was a really good class and on Friday I have a presentation and Bella had a blast.

Thursday - I had our 34 week Doctors appointment. I was sad Marcus was busy but Bella was amazing for me. We counted all the babies in a magazine while we waited. I am currently measuring 35 weeks. My Doctor said I was boring and nothing exciting is happening. I am okay with being boring. We go back in two weeks and then every week after that until Paul makes his grand entrance.

Friday - I had my L.I.N.K.S presentation and Bella went to the day care again. My presentation went splendid. I finished earlier then I thought and Marcus had already picked up Bella and taken her to his office. Nothing is funnier then walking into a room with 3 men who are totally caught up playing with a child. She was having a blast.

Saturday - Valentines' Day - Bella had to have been feeling the love with packages from all grandparents and her gift of love from us. She recieved some really cute things her favorite having to be the lip shaped purse from Nan and Pops and the cowboy boots from Grandee and Gramps. We ate heart shaped sandwiches for lunch and finished the day with heart shaped pancakes for dinner courtesy of Marcus. Once Bella went down Marcus and I had Valentines' Day to ourselves and watched the movie Fireproof. We both agreed it was a really good movie. I also made chocolate covered strawberries as a special treat. What a wonderful day spent with the ones I love.

Sunday - The nesting has begun. I could not do enough laundry or organizing. I am trying to get everything in order before Paul arrives or better yet before my Mom gets here so that I can enjoy the quality time.

That is it. I am still trying to find my camera cord then pictures will follow.

My very first post!

I have wanted to create a blog for some time now and figured that I should start before Baby Paul arrives with the hope that I will continue. This is meant for our family and friends to stay up to date on what is going on in our lives. I am currently 33 almost 34 weeks pregnant and am doing well so far. Baby Paul is set to arrive somewhere around March 27th. We will have to wait and see if that happens. We know we need to wait until at least the 18th of March so that my mom will be here to watch Bella during my hospital stay. We are getting very excited. I have completed most of his bedding set, we went with Cowboy/John Deere as our theme. I will post pictures when it is complete.
Bella is growing up way to quickly. She turned 2 back in December and what a change has occurred. She is testing her boundaries more and exploring. She will actually have her first "day care" experience tomorrow for about 4 hours as I take a class on base to become a LINKS mentor. We will see how it all works out. I think I am more nervous about it than she is.
Marcus is doing well. He started college classes in January. We are all very proud of him. I know that it is hard for him to work all day and then have class until sometimes 10 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The semester will be over the beginning of March and he is looking into his options for next semester. I guess that is it for now but I will post pictures when we can find my camera cord.
